New Assistant Secretary Appointed continued

our existing Friends, I believe we can entice further numbers to join such a strong organisation with one focused aim – to ensure our future generations are able to celebrate another 750 years of worship, music and sheer magnificent beauty the Cathedral beholds.

As you have probably gathered, I am very passionate about Salisbury Cathedral and as Nickolas Pevsner so simply but eloquently said: “quite literally one of the finest.”

Along with Kate, we aim to be a dynamic duo who are here to serve you all; whether it be answering everyday questions and queries, organising wonderful residential tours to far flung historical places across the British Isles, trips to Oberammergau, shows in London, tea parties on Chorister Green, or a more sedate trip to Highgrove, or indeed just ensuring your SPIRE magazine and Christmas cards arrive on time!

May I say a huge sincere thank you to all those who have called into The Friends office at No 52 The Close over the past six months to say hello and welcomed me; you have made me feel very honoured to be here.

A very happy Christmas and an extremely peaceful New Year to you all.

Lizzie Rowe
Assistant Secretary
